Surface Preparation
All surfaces must be cured, clean, sound, dry and free of all dirt, dust, efflorescence, wax, oil, grease, chalk and any other contamination that would interfere with new coating adhesion. Fill nail holes and imperfections with spackling compound and allow to dry. Sand tape joints and spackled areas and remove dust. Glossy surfaces should be dulled by sanding. *Zero Plus is designated zero VOC (volatile organic compounds) based on EPA Method 24. All zero VOC paints emit chemicals. This paint emits chemicals during and for approximately two weeks after painting but at much lower levels than conventional latex paints. Sensitive groups should minimize exposure during painting and for 24 hours after. “Zero VOC” does not mean “asthma/allergy friendly.”
