Diamond Vogel is seeking a full-time Coating Chemist to join our Research & Development team in Orange City. This role provides hands-on, on-the-job training and the opportunity to contribute directly to product innovation and development.
Responsibilities
Hands-On Laboratory Work
- Prepare samples of new formulations and perform color matching
- Conduct routine physical and analytical testing with minimal supervision
- Maintain an organized, clean, and safe laboratory environment
Data & Documentation
- Accurately record test results, observations, and formulation data
- Maintain organized electronic and written laboratory records
Communication & Collaboration
- Clearly communicate test procedures, observations, and findings both verbally and in writing
- Collaborate with R&D team members throughout the product development process
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a science-related field (Chemistry preferred)
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team setting
- Self-motivated with a curious and inquisitive mindset
- Ability to interact professionally with Sales representatives and customers during product development
- Previous laboratory experience in color and metallic shade matching is helpful but not required
