Diamond Vogel is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic – 1st Shift to support maintenance operations at our aerosol paint manufacturing facility. This hands-on role is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production equipment and facility systems to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations.
This position works 1st shift, Monday–Thursday from 5:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with overtime opportunities on Fridays.
What you’ll do
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair manufacturing equipment and facility systems
- Perform preventive maintenance on pumps, motors, pneumatic systems, and related equipment
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues to minimize downtime
- Complete maintenance tasks such as welding, metal fabrication, plumbing, and carpentry as needed
- Accurately complete work orders and maintenance documentation using CMMS systems
- Support outside contractors and assist with coordinating repairs and projects
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, safe work environment
- Perform other duties as assigned to support plant operations
What we’re looking for
- High school diploma or equivalent required; apprenticeship or associate degree preferred
- Two or more years of manufacturing maintenance experience required
- Experience performing preventive maintenance and equipment troubleshooting
- Working knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic, and basic electrical systems
- Familiarity with preventive maintenance programs, CMMS systems, and maintenance planning
- Strong safety mindset with solid problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with shifting priorities
