Diamond Vogel is seeking a Production Lead to support Packaging and Manufacturing operations at our paint manufacturing facility. This hands-on leadership role is responsible for coordinating daily production activities, providing on-the-floor guidance to team members, and supporting safe, efficient, and high-quality operations.
The Production Lead works closely with Coordinators and Supervisors to meet safety, quality, and throughput goals while supporting continuous improvement efforts.
This position works 1st shift, Monday–Thursday from 5:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with overtime opportunities on Fridays.
What you’ll do
- Provide hands-on leadership and support to hourly production team members
- Coordinate daily production assignments to meet schedule and quality goals
- Step into production and packaging roles as needed to support operations
- Monitor workflow, address issues, and adjust priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Complete production documentation, shop orders, and ERP transactions accurately
- Track materials usage, scrap, and production data to support inventory accuracy
- Support safety, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Assist with onboarding and training of new team members
- Perform other duties as assigned to support plant operations
What we’re looking for
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred
- 1–3 years of manufacturing or production experience with informal or formal leadership responsibilities
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; reporting or ERP experience is a plus
- Strong safety mindset and ability to lead by example
