Diamond Vogel is seeking a Warehouse Lead Picker in Orange City, IA. This full-time role supports warehouse and logistics operations by overseeing daily picking and shipping activities, ensuring a safe and efficient workflow, and providing hands-on leadership to the warehouse team. This position works closely with Warehouse Management, Inventory, and Shipping teams to ensure on-time delivery, accuracy, and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with company policies and OSHA regulations
- Lead, train, and motivate warehouse staff to meet productivity, accuracy, and performance goals
- Assign daily picking, packing, receiving, and shipping tasks and monitor progress throughout the shift
- Ensure all customer and internal orders are picked accurately and shipped on time
- Assist with inventory control activities, including cycle counts and discrepancy resolution
- Identify workflow inefficiencies and recommend process improvements to enhance productivity
- Ensure proper use, care, and maintenance of warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and scanners
- Maintain a positive team environment that supports morale, accountability, and continuous improvement
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- 1–2 years of experience in a warehouse or logistics environment, with prior lead or supervisory experience preferred
- Strong organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities
- Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS) and basic computer skills
- Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment and lift/move materials as required
- Ability to work independently while supporting team objectives
