Responsibilities will include processing accounts payable for a number of retail and warehouse locations. This will involve working with each location to accurately review, code, key, and process their payables. You will also be responsible for basic accounting duties, daily posting and reporting, and monthly balancing.

Attention to detail and superior organization are necessary to be successful in this role. You must also have a strong skills in 10-key and Excel. Prior experience is preferred. On-the-job training will develop the specific processing procedures.

The position is for an experienced coatings chemist, spending 50% of the time in the lab formulating/researching and 50% of the time in the field providing detailed technical support to the sales staff and to the customer. Join our growing Industrial /OEM marketplace team based at our Corporate Technical Center headquarters in Orange City, IA. 

The Technical Account Manager reports directly to the senior industrial/OEM R&D manager, and often taking direction from sales director and staff. Also, as part of a team, is required to make visits to existing and potential customers, occasionally requiring overnight stays. The Technical Account Manager works independently on customer specific projects, within an industrial/OEM R&D team. But, also works within an industrial/OEM sales team providing technical expertise. This person will assist sales team in acquiring new customers as well as strengthening current customer relations and be the customers’ primary technical liaison into the industrial/OEM R&D team.

This position will provide technical and product knowledge in support of post sales activities, addressing product related questions and technical challenges.
 

Required Knowledge, Background and Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in the sciences, with chemistry coursework
• 10+ years of formulating experience of solvent borne and water borne coatings for metal substrates
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills for building positive relationships with customers and other team members
• Strong organizational and documentation skills to ensure projects stay on track and deadlines are met
• Must be effective working independently and in a team setting
