About the Role: The Production/Packaging role supports both manufacturing and packaging operations by performing hands-on production, packaging, and material handling tasks in a safe, efficient, and quality-focused manner. This role works closely with Production Leads, Coordinators, and Supervisors to help meet daily production schedules, quality standards, and throughput goals.

What You’ll Do
Drive Safety and Compliance Excellence.
Champion Diamond Vogel’s purpose and values and inspire others to uphold company values.
Follow all safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements to maintain a safe production and packaging environment.
Perform hands-on production and packaging tasks according to standard operating procedures, work instructions, and quality requirements.
Operate, monitor, and adjust production and packaging equipment as trained.
Complete shop orders, batch tickets, and required production and packaging documentation accurately and on time.
Perform required quality checks and inspections to ensure products meet specifications.
Accurately record production data, materials usage, scrap, container use, and other required information.
Assist with raw material handling, staging, and finished goods movement between production and packaging areas.
Apply labels, packaging materials, and product identification correctly to ensure compliance and traceability.
Identify and report equipment issues, quality concerns, safety hazards, or process deviations promptly to Production Leads or Supervisors.
Maintain clean, organized, and efficient work areas in accordance with housekeeping standards.
Support inventory accuracy by following proper material handling and documentation practices.
Participate in safety meetings, training, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Work collaboratively with team members to support shifting priorities between production and packaging operations.
Ensure all containers are closed and/or sealed to comply with DOT closing requirements for hazardous materials.
Demonstrates ongoing compliance with Diamond Vogel’s code of conduct.
All other duties as assigned.
What Skills and Experience you’ll need:
High school diploma or GED preferred.
Prior experience in manufacturing, production, or packaging environment preferred; training provided for entry-level candidates.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.
Ability to work in a production environment (noise, chemicals, temperature variations) while using proper PPE.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as needed.
Basic math, documentation, and labeling skills.
Willingness to learn multiple processes and equipment across production and packaging areas.
Strong teamwork, reliability, and attendance.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
